Pilates Yafo
You are invited to the new Pilates paradise in a beautiful neighbourhood of the ancient city of Yafo. Come and make the best of your breathing, discover your body’s centre, correct your alignment, coordinate your movements, strengthen your weaker areas, learn to relax tighter areas in your body; all on the backdrop of Giv'at Chof HaAliyah beach, where Kedem Street meets Menuha Street. We offer a bespoke service, suited exactly to your needs, from an original “guru of the Pilates world”. If you are fit we can work on maintenance and refinement, and if you have injuries we take a remedial approach.
I am an Israeli who studied ballet with Archipova Grossman in Haifa, certified at the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD), danced with the Bat Dor dance company, and eventually moved to England. In the UK I was a founding member of Extemporary Dance Company with whom I danced all over the world. In 19…I trained and received certification under the instruction of Alan Herdman in the Pilates method. In 1991 I founded Belsize Studio Ltd in London, and have been teaching and directing it for 25 years. With our continued success I opened a Teacher’s Training Course, a thorough and rigorous 18 month certification to become a top quality teacher, trained at the highest standards. Teachers who have trained with us have come from all corners of the world to learn, and then spread our teachings and ethos.
I am a founding member of the Pilates Foundation, the UK’s first Pilates Teachers’ Association, whom I am still in regular contact with. As well as being a teachers' examiner, I created the examiners' training course, teaching teachers how to examine through the accreditation process.
My lifelong experience and expertise adapts to your needs. Whether you are between the ages of 12 to 95, if your body is your profession, whether you are new to Pilates or not, whether you have an injury or need a personalised rehabilitation assistance, or whether you are pregnant or post-natal, I am here for you.
When connecting to our body,
We connect to our self.
When finding our centre,
We know how far to go.
This is our work.
